CRP-MB Strategies & Approaches for More Effective Climate Actions and Presentations (June 2023)

Improving the effectiveness of how you communicate about the climate crisis allows audiences to better connect with your message and helps to better inspire positive action. What to cover and what to leave out? How to improve personalization? How to customize Climate Reality Project slides? How to inform and educate without making audiences feel hopeless and defeated? Learn helpful strategies and approaches that answer these questions and more whether you are giving climate presentations as a trained Climate Reality Project leader or are going to engage with the community as a new member of the Monterey Bay chapter.

Trainer, Dan Linehan, Climate Reality Leader. A member of the Bay Area chapter and the Monterey Bay Chapter, as well as the communications chair and strategy advisor for the LA chapter’s Climate Curricula Committee, Dan Linehan joined Climate Reality Project in 2012. Dan has given presentation boot camps for the Bay Area, Silicon Valley, and Los Angeles chapters and was a mentor for a Latin America leader training. An author and professional writer and editor, he’s focused on climate change for over two decades. Widely published, his work has appeared in newspapers, magazines, literary journals, books, and videos. He’s given over a hundred presentations based on his work. And his latest book is The Princess of the Bottom of the World, an award-winning multimedia climate series based on his climate change work in Antarctica and Argentina.
